RealPlume no Sound

Recommended Posts

The problem is when using Real Plume the visuals work but the engines make no sound.
I already checked the logs and the only thing that I found is following phrase:

[LOG 22:07:18.901] Cannot assign AudioClip 'RealPlume/KW_Sounds/sound_altloop2' to AudioFX
[LOG 22:07:18.901] Cannot assign AudioClip 'RealPlume/KW_Sounds/sound_liq10' to AudioFX

This really says nothing ...

I used Real Plume in a modded installation as well as in an unmodded installation and both gave the same results: Working visual effects but no sound.

To answer upcoming quesions;

Yes, my ingame sound was on. My sound settings were on 50%.
Yes, I installed the mod correctly using Real Plume, Real Plume - Stock Configs, SmokeScreen - Extended FX Plugin and the Mod Manager. Everything in the latest Version.

Here are my Logs: https://mega.nz/#!fMpmxRBA!LXY9dAWrLGVCOHKqMZjbliPWeJSwF10GJKmLUK2cL9I

Thanks for helping!

Hello @sebi.zzr

first, thanks for the quick response!

CKAN installed the "RealPlume-Stock" in the "GameData\RealPlume" folder. I also manually installed the mod with the "RealPlume-Stock" folder in the "GameData" folder. Both gave the same results: visual effects but no sound

Here are some images of my GameData folder:
GameData Images.zip

I also checked the FX folders. The files that couldn't be opened are there, I also gave admin rights to the KSP .exes.

Funny thing is. The game also couldn't load several texture files:

[LOG 18:29:10.858] Load(Texture): Squad/Flags/09
[WRN 18:29:10.861] Texture load error in 'G:\# Steam Games\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\Squad\Flags\09.png': Couldn't open file G:\
[LOG 18:29:10.862] Load(Texture): Squad/Flags/blorbs
[WRN 18:29:10.865] Texture load error in 'G:\# Steam Games\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\Squad\Flags\blorbs.png': Couldn't open file G:\
[LOG 18:29:10.866] Load(Texture): Squad/Flags/bullseye
[WRN 18:29:10.869] Texture load error in 'G:\# Steam Games\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\Squad\Flags\bullseye.png': Couldn't open file G:\
[LOG 18:29:10.870] Load(Texture): Squad/Flags/capsule
[WRN 18:29:10.873] Texture load error in 'G:\# Steam Games\steamapps\common\Kerbal Space Program\GameData\Squad\Flags\capsule.png': Couldn't open file G:\
...

But the files are there...

How can it be that a program with admin rights cannot load external files?

I uploaded an updated log file:

I really don't know how CKAN works(i never use it),but i read on forum that can make more harm than good.I'm also not sure if "smokescreen" and RP are supported by authors on CKAN.
My advice is to uninstall all RP,RP-stock and smokescreen with CKAN and then install them manually. If this wont help, your best chance is to ask in RP thread directly.

Well I solved the problem.... The problem was not RealPlume or CKAN. It was my file-system. KSP couldn't load any additional files from its folders. So i just moved KSP out of my Steam folder. Now everything works fine

Anyway thanks for your help.
