Recommended Posts

I only have 1 mod in (mechjeb) and everything is up to date. i tried removing some saves i didn't need but it is still laggy and crashes a lot. and the the stuff on the bottom of the screen (the one you see when you log in, with bill, bob, and jeb floating in space) says 1.2.2.1622(windows player)

And here is my latest crash output_log -

Well, obvious thing to do would be delete and reinstall everything, keeping a copy of your saves, but other then that, BURN IT! :P not literally, of course. Reinstall KSP and mechjeb, and see if it still happens.

If yes, it's your system. I can't help with that, maybe someone else can.

If no, you are back in business.

Good luck!

So just from looking at the bit of log file there you are suffering from a memory shortage crash; it looks like you only have about 3 gigs of RAM available which is the absolute minimum that KSP requires.  Most mods are fairly memory intensive so if you are just barely meeting the minimum system requirements for the game I seriously doubt you are going to be able to run mods.

Really, only 3241 MB physical memory (~3GB) ? That would be lower than the recommended system specs list for RAM (4GB). Is your Operating System 32bit? Or, somehow, is a Virtual Machine configured for that much memory? Also, as reported, user address space (memory available to applications) is just 2GB, that's all KSP (with or without add-ons) could use.

The footprint in memory of KSP (1.2.2 build 1622) is around 1.4GB just after initial load, around 1.7GB while starting a new sandbox game. With every vessel you build or launch, memory footprint increases: a moderately complex game will easily require beyond those 2GB, making a crash inevitable. And that is not even considering other applications memory requirements.

I knew it was the RAM! i only have 4 gb on my PC and only 3.16 is usable. Ive been tring to get a new one for ages. Until then ill try reducing the graphics and see if that works. Thanks for the help because me not good at reading code.
