Debris disappearing

I've noticed that all of my debris disappears a few minutes after separation. I've set persistant debris to 10,000, but it still happens. I like to go back and do things with my debris (like recover it with a spaceplane) after a little while, so this is really inconvenient for me. It's only been happening since I updated to 1.2.2.

 Hey again.

Does it happen in atmosphere or in space? Atmospheric debris reusal is quite difficult without mods. KSP doesn't take any account for physics behind 2000meter away from your current crafts. Every crafts that hits the ground disappears. Even when they have parachutes on it. 

You can try this awesome mod for that.

It does. Strangely enough, it appears to have randomly fixed itself. I'll keep you posted if it happens again.
