So I'm having a bit of trouble getting the pack to work correctly.  Most of the features are working but the skybox is not.  I can see it on the main screen but when I go into the game I am stuck with the default one.  I've tried reinstalling the mod several times and used CKAN to make sure it is correct.  From what I found searching it may also be possible to use texture replace to replace the vanalla skybox with the AVP one but I don't know how to do that.  Here is my mod list below.

I noticed that in my game, the cloud layer abruptly ends at 10,000 meters altitude. It looks weird on rocket takeoff or re-entry.
Does it work that way or could it be some bug or misconfiguration in my game?

I'm using the latest version of this mod as well as EVE and Scatterer (maximum settings)!

* I removed the CityLights files from this mod directory!

** KSP 1.12.1 Windows x64

Ok I fixed it, I had galaxies unbound installed as well and they GU_Skybox was overwriting the AP_skybox.  *facepalm*

This is how my game looks with only the required mods installed. Once I actually load into a game, Kerbin looks normal and less rainbowy, but the extremely busy, "fuzzy" skybox is still there:

Is this how AVP is supposed to look out of the box or am I missing something?

Delete the AVP_Skybox folder from the AVP mod folder

* I tested the volumetric clouds using the EVE default config (BoulderCo) and it looks like volumetric clouds are working fine!

Hmm, is this mod supposed to remove Jool's rings? Anyone manage to get the Jool rings working? The OP doesn't say this mod is supposed to remove them, yet my game doesn't have them and neither do any of the other screenshots I've seen on this topic, yet the screenshots of Jool in the AVP loading screens clearly have rings, so I'm confused. This question  has been asked a few times in this thread, but we haven't gotten an official answer yet. Is this a bug?

Yes, I see that as well.  The volumetric clouds appear (around 2500m) and disappear (around 10000m) abruptly.  I found this so immersion-breaking I stopped using AVP.  (But did re-install with CKAN to test with 1.12.1.)  I'm on Linux, not other visual mods installed.

Hello!

Does anyone know whether an RTX 3060 laptop GPU is capable of running the 43k Kerbin clouds without serious amounts of lag? 

And as for the installation process, do we just have to drop AVP, the textures, and the dependencies into GameData or are there additional instructions that needs to be followed?

Cloud popup problem is just a bad EVE config

in CloudsManager switch to AVP/*/*/Clouds

MainClouds:

increase area and visibleRange to something like 20k

Optionaly enable Volumetrics on CirrusClouds too

I also enabled shadowMaterial for the sweet groundshadows (reduce speed to ~0.1 if u do this)

can't say anything about fps impact im running on 3080...

Could you send your config files?  I tried making the change you suggested on MainClouds and my volumetric clouds disappeared entirely.  And when I tried turning on Volumetrics on the CirrusClouds, the whole world turned into a cloud...

Am I the only one that has a problem? On 1.12.1 installing AVP with textures and every single dependency there is, there is no orange band or twilight as shown in the images, it seems to load properly but isn't working completely.

Hey there!

I know this probably isn't the best place for this question but I only get this issue with Astronomer's.

Using reflections with TextureReplacer, only a portion of the clouds show up.

I'm not sure how reflections work in KSP, or how they interact with the game.

Is there some atmospheric FOV setting that the shader involved in cloud rendering uses in Astronomer's maybe? Limiting reflection FOV render range for performance?

Maybe these reflections for Astronomer's are just loaded through Scatterer and the problem might actually lie with some setting in there?

Any ideas at all would be really appreciated while I try to figure out a fix.
