Back to the Moon!

The year is 2061, people have ignored spaceflight for several decades, luckily the ASA takes back action and proceeds to take back the action to the Moon! Be prepared for a Lunar Adventure!

This story is all about the first Moon Mission of the ASA (Ameschland Space Agency). It mainly focuses on spacecraft designs, flight plans, and other things, not alot of talking.

Chapters

- The ASA Coming Soon!

- Designs Coming Later!

- The Plan Coming Later!

- The Flight Coming Later!

Have anything to say? Tell me! Stay tuned!

The ASA - Launch sites.

The ASA has multiple launch sites. But since the ASA (Ameschland Space Agency) has several launch sites around the planet. Some of them are not even in Ameschland territory, (Ameschland is in the northen hemisphere, wich is bad for spaceflight expect for polar orbits.

-Ameschland Spaceflight Region 73.7585413,-85.524865,10. This area not only for launch sites, also for bulding, testing, training, and experimenting with concepts. Its Moon-like landscape in summer makes it great for training.

-Kennedy Space Centre. You know where that is! The VAB and several launch sites have been gifted to the ASA by the US, this is alot better for Non-polar spaceflight.

-Galapagos Reserve. Locates in the Galapagos islands (specific location is secret) is a launch and recovery base. It is used to test nuclear missles, that aim for the Sahara Desert in order to test it.

-Masirah Space Base. An international space base located in Oman. Every space agency can launch here, transportation is the problem though, so no really big huge things.

You know that Back to the Moon is a novel? That was what I expected when I got here. But still, good work.

So there is a book already with the same? Oh oh. Thanks by the way.

The ASA - Rivals

Of course, this is not the most peacefull situation. The ASA has a rival, the NSEP, (National Space Exploration Program) from Doggerland. Doggerland and Ameschland have simulair goals, but the NSEP and the ASA not.

The NSEP wants reusabillity, and a modulair system, they want to colonize space. The ASA on the other hand, wants to pioneer, and explore. The ASA thinks that we should not colonize space yet since it is unnecessary for now, and the solar system has not been explored completely yet. But the NSEP thinks that we should colonize space, to keep humanity safe. The NSEP wants to allow people to grow industries in space, trade, work, and live there.

The ASA and the NSEP have their allies too. The ASA are allies with the Middle Eastern Space Agency, the MESA provides resources for the ASA, and have a back up hangar, just in case it goes all wrong. The ASA are also allies with NASA, NASA allows the ASA to pick launch sites in the USA. NASA had similar goals of the ASA.

The NSEP is allied with Rembrandt Aeronautics, a group of genuis engineers who design ridicilous, creative yet still plausible designs for spacecraft and aircraft. The NSEP is also alies with the Australian Space Program. Because the North Sea is no a great place to launch and build rockets, the population density is way too high. So Australia is their best choice,

The ASA - The Workers

The ASA has a large, but at the same time a small crew of workers of about 800 people. Significantly less than how many people worked in Apollo. But ther is a great difference, bcause everybody has major experience, and because a Moon mission has already been done. Extreme research has been done before, and alot of reverse engineering has been done. It can be seen in their designs, but that is something for the next chapter.

The workers come in different types and ranks. Some of the workers have multiple.

-Designer, design spacecraft of course, there are in total 20 of them. Everyone has a different job.

-Advanced VAB, build the spacecraft that require precision. These people also deal with the dangerous and toxic fuels, they are highly trained for these type of operation. There are 50 of those.

-VAB, build rockets that dont require high precision. The ASA goes for simplicity in ther spacecraft, their rocket engines are made to be simple, yet reliable at the same time, making it significantly less labour intensive. Some of the VAB are just good old forgers, forging nozzles and pipes. Yes, the ASA makes their own material and parts (expect for mining and refining them). This makes it alot cheapers, there are in total 700 in them.

-Pilots, the rest, Astronauts, and test pilots.
