mechjeb available only when pilot present?

Can anyone think of a way to use module manager to allow mechjeb to be available only when a pilot is in a pod? I know how to add mechjebcore to command pods. What I'm interested in is having MJ usable only when a pilot is in that command pod (somehow picking up on the ModuleCommand "requiresPilot" flag)

I don't understand why? Mechjeb is a computer... it should be available for probes and such. That is, if you use MechJeb...

There are times--like during a long flight--that I feel like I should be able to role play that the kerbal is flying it. That I gave the kerbal a flight plan and they (mechjeb) are doing it.

If you are role playing do you really need a hard limit set?  Just role play it (unless you lack the self control).
