Hi, new here and fairly new to KSP as well. Just crashed on the moon though so I figure I'm up to speed enough to join the community, so hi!

Funny theory I've got about planet kerbin, there's only 2 space centers and nothing else on the planet, yet there are a ton of kerbals. To me that means they're entire civilization is based on space travel which is pretty awesome if you ask me. This theory goes down the drain when they enhance Kerbin later but for now, their entire evolution and civilization progression has been devoted to becoming space travellers (note they have no unmanned missions ).

Congrats on reaching the Mun, you now just have to work on your landings

I like your theory, I think it'd make a much better game if the whole civilization was working towards space travel, rather than just a government or two, we'll have to see how things pan out.

Oh yeah, also wanted to thank KSP for getting me to review my physics notes. Going into third year Physics program with an astrophysics specialization at university and normally don't review my notes over the summer, KSP actually got me to crack open a textbook before September. So thanks!

Astrophysics is way beyond my understanding, but I think KSP has done something that no other game that I know of has done, it's shown us all just how objects move in space in a simple and easy to grasp fashion.

Calculations are one thing, but to actually see it, and how your inputs affect your rocket, really opens up your eyes, it's so radically different to anything we are used to on earth but once you get the feel for it it just feels amazing.

They just said (on the kurtj stream) they won't be adding countries and that they like to think that as a species this what the kerbals are all about (and that they're just bad at it). I take that to mean my theory is correct
