Tom Petty- At The End of The Line

At first there were news reports that Tom Petty had died, then there were reports that those reports were wrong. Sadly now there are new reports that Tom Petty has indeed died. One more Wilbury has reached the end of the line.

I saw that he died ~30 minutes after when someone posted in /r/music. May he rest in peace.

I've always loved Tom Petty, ever since I started listening to music back when I was a teenager. But what I'll remember him most for was the memorial concert they held after 9/11. All of the other acts went up on stage and sang sad songs, stuff about grieving and remembering the victims. Tom got up there and sang "I Won't Back Down." He got it. Thanks for everything, Tom. Vaya con Dios.

The CBC played Wildflowers on the radio this morning after interviewing Cameron Crowe about his friendship and professional relationship with Tom Petty. I'll be playing the whole album when I get home from work.
