A graphical object (a shroud like ring).

When I loaded my game and went to my rocket next to an asteroid this decoupler-shroud-like ring object appeared as a graphical object.

At the next reload the ring was gone again. I don't think the ring was ever there as a physical object. Have you seen anything similar? Do you know what it is?

It's the fairing from the heat shield attached to your pod. When playing on my macbook (haven't seen it on my PC) I've seen the heat shield fairings sometimes appear offset from the part itself. I have no idea why, but it always seems to happen/un-happen on loading a scene.

@Booots, not only a mac problem, I have a heavily modded RSS/RO (windows) install where it just happened yesterday. For me it happened after swapping to a craft that was docket to my station 60 days earlier. 
It's just a loading graphical error... No physics/forces or anything like that will be applied to the part that's sticking out of the crafts. It's just like it's on the right spot.
