Is there a mod that will make managing overall Vessel heat a challenge, apart from reentry heat

Like I know deadly reentry handles a lot of heating mechanics, and I use that already.  But what I'm talking about is engines/chassis overheating/melting in atmosphere because you're overzealously firing them all far too early.  In this situation assuming gravity doesn't kill me, I'd figure heat would.

I think I remember real engine fuels having a similar effect but that's a step too far for me.  Changing fuel tanks to whatever it is I need still feels cheap to me.  Is that my only option or is there a mod for realistic engine/thermal heat without it also scaling everything up in power or requiring real fuels?

@NathanKell Would realheat do what I'm asking for here?  As it is, I'm finding the ascent and overall operation of my engines to be much too forgiving.  I want the same melting/soft fail/ hard fail mechanics that deadly reentry has but for heat in general, across the board.

I feel like I basically never have to worry about heat aside from a few maxims, like not hitting an atmosphere too steep and remembering a heat shield for whatever will be heading groundward first.
