How do you transfer a craft from one save to another?

I've tried making copies and moving it to the save, but it doesn't show up. I want to have one of my craft in a new save, but also in the old save. Is it possible?

Yeah, it's possible.

Are you putting it in the right place? You don't want the "ships" folder in the main KSP folder, you want the one in your save folder.

Actually if you put it in the main KSP ships folder it should be viewable in all your game saves.  This folder is where the default stock craft are stored.  It does sound like you are not copying it to either of the folders (main or individual save) where you would be able to find it once copied.

Yes, assuming you have stock ships enabled in your save. (I never do.)

Do you mean a craft that you have already launched? Or do you mean one that you have a .craft file for, in your VAB or SPH directories?

If you don't mind an extra mod:

In any case copy-paste in the file explore should work. Are you sure you are moving it to the correct location?
