Unity 5.5.0f4, 3DS max 2017 ,KSP 1.3.1, latest parttools

the assigned Texture could not be found or is not loaded.

check with alt+f12 in the gamedatase if you find the texture and which name it has. then check your parts.cfg if the same is the same.

The weird part is, the radar cover (nose which has texture) is using the same texture. Whole body (which is black) including the nose is a single model object in unity. But part of them is black, part of them is normal.

Check your mesh normals and/or tangents?

When I look at the VAB screenshot, I note that the nose part behind the radar cover actually has some color to it (blue tinting).  Wrong color, but something -- so it is likely not that the texture is rendering as black, but that the normals are incorrect on the mesh.

(my second guess would be that it somehow has multiple materials assigned to the mesh in Unity Editor... which is something that doesn't work properly in KSP)
