Mission Builder Node Deletion Won't Work

I referenced the KSPedia in-game for how to delete unwanted nodes from the mission builder and it says to use the delete key. Pressing the delete key does nothing. This is not an issue with my keyboard (I know because I tested the delete key while typing this). I'm running on mac. Is this a bug, or am I missing something?

Are you sure you are using the del key and not the backspace key?

Well... it's a macbook, and the backspace key is labeled delete. So I'm assuming it is not in fact a delete key, but rather a backspace key.

Is there a workaround for this other than buying a full-sized keyboard?

If I recall correctly from my Mac days fn + backspace = delete

solved. Have to hold the function key while pressing delete.
