I would say artic aurora but you said boom so maybe not that, I would say a cannon but.... I am bad at riddles and maybe just maybe its something else
Nope :)
The fire, flying, and claws make me think of a phoenix, but I doubt that could be it.

Because the answer has already been found (Friendship), I will submit my own, short, ****ty riddle which has a obvious answer.

Fire scorches the land,

while serpents raid the heavens.

Bravery stands in the way,

but nigh, it won't save the day.

In future worlds reborn,

liberty fills all men.

While heroes of the olden

days walk to their destiny.

Deceit and war for years

all put aside to the final ending

when no other option remains

but to destroy all that's left

to keep it from our Lords defeat

Immortality fades away,

while they fight to create New Day.

What Am I?

The speed of light? light itself? No idea...

Oh, and Vostok, It is a riddle. It can be more than just an object or a person, it may be an idea, a day, or a significant event.
Eggs, Never mind people, Sorry for the 30th post now, I am not in the right set of mind for this, I completely missed the fact that there is a bunch of other pages... Oh well.
It's OK. We've been trying to keep the current riddle at least somewhere on every page, but this thread is progressing rather swiftly :)

Flashes of colour and roars of noise,

Sparks of light and glimpse of poise;

I fly free and straight and true,

Watching for things to pursue.

Dancing 'cross the midnight sky,

I wander twixt object and eye;

See me once and see me 'gain,

Find me 'fore I'm beyond ken.

Lives a-threatened, courage burned,

Walking, waiting, long since spurned;

Find my claws enshrouded in shadow,

See my calls emblazoned on flow.

What am I?

Hey, I'm back to see what the new riddle is all abou-

Only kidding!

I think it could be some sort of projectile? (But you said "too literally" so that can't be it) A war? Aurora Borealis? light?

My reasoning being, Twixt object and eye (it's how we see things - light) and "light at the end of the tunnel" being associated with death (or NEAR death.)

Then again, it doesn't quite fit a couple of lines. And it's been mentioned.
