how do i add a new jet engine?

I can make a somewhat decent model in blender, but when it comes to importing it into unity, giving it attachment points and editing the config file i am completely bummed. i need halp pls

Just copy a default jet engine configuration and modify it. Also there's a wikipage on making parts.

Thats horribly out of date and could be said to be a hindrance than a help.  The unity thing isn't that hard,  just try for a start making a cube and getting that in game,  you can add nodes using empty game objects in unity , dead easy and accurate.  Once you can get a simple cube in game , everything else is just rinse and repeat. 

Down in the addons section, find the modelling and texturing sub forum, almost any question you can think of has already been asked at least twice and answered there, and the modders here are usually fairly quick with an answer ( to a well formed question)
