cosmicastaway
I am wondering how to attach things symmetrically to the outside of separate fuel tanks, all connected with a tri-coupler. Here is an image of what I mean: http://i.imgur.com/wP9eq.jpgAs you can see, I have the symmetry set to 1/3, but the decouplers are all trying to attach to one of the fuel tanks. Is there a way to have them attach symmetrically to the outsides of the 3 fuel tanks? I'm pretty sure I've seen it done in videos... Thanks in advance! EndlessWaves
They'll attach to the three fuel tanks when those fuel tanks themselves were placed using tri-symmetry (and so on up the chain). If you placed them individually I don't know if you can switch.
pebble_garden
The symmetry is relative to the three fuel stacks as a single unit, not individual stacks. Attach the first to the outer radial of one of the stacks, it'll symmetrize on the other two. Then repeat the operation with the appropriate offsets around the first stack, and it gets mirrored on the others.Oh and I think EndlessWaves is right. It only works if you've placed the fuel tanks there with the same symmetry.
