Looking for wheel addon.

Hello.

Im looking for addon for simple wheels with joint in center of axle, without any suspension and other extra things. Im creating custom powered vechicles with IR mod. I tried to find mod like this but i didnt :(.

 

 

Simple example where i need to mount them  ( yellow wheels are just props, no wheel abilities. )

HI ,i think  you're going to be out of luck finding wheels without suspension of any sort. You'll need a wheel collider , using a mesh collider is not effective as they have a tendency to dig in and snag, causing nasty behavior  To the best of my current wheel knowledge, the suspension  and the compression of it  determine the available grip , no suspension, no grip.  This applies to stock KSP/unity wheels and the KSPWheel/Kerbal foundries  type.  There may be another way of course but I'm not aware of it.
Of course this hasn't stopped people from trying, including me  .

SO as as anything IR propelled is going to be by it's very nature  painfully slow, you may be able to getaway with some other arrangement , such as that wheel you have there with a convex mesh collider, and a unity physic material to give the collider some grip.


PS the moderators here don't like bumping of threads,  most mod makers and interested users of mods browse this thread, so if there's no response to a post , it usually means that you're out of luck rather than being ignored
