I am fairly new to the game and need some guidance on... well many things actually but, its obvious the without a good spacecraft i'm not going to get far.
With this being said can anyone guide me in the direction of a video or tutorial that can help me understand simple rocket engineering and the physics around it?

Hey RK, welcome to the forums. Scott Manley taught me almost everything I know about KSP, and even though his videos are a old now, all the principles are still valid.

thank you very much! this helped extremely, i am not "a noob" at the game but i am not a rocket scientist either.

Tbh, I learned most of what i know about KSP from messing with it and also from the in game tutorials. those can be helpful. also, apply real world principles such as the thrust-lift-drag-weight of planes and aerodynamics (meaning make it as streamlined as possible so that it goes thru atmosphere nicely).
