Game corrupted

How can I force a "hard" delete and re-download of KSP. My I somehow managed to delete all my textures into a blue outline and corrupted the graphics and audio. When I delete off of steam it just redownloads with the same data. How can I return back to the pure vanilla save.

Did you at any point force the game into opengl or DX11 mode? (Blind guess.)

I have no idea. I did download some mods by accident and delated only half of the file so that is why I want to restart

...how do you download mods by accident? It's not tied to the workshop, you can't not know that you're installing a mod?

Anyway, Steam -> game properties -> verify game files.

If that doesn't do it, delete SteamApps/common/Kerbal Space Program/gamedata and then verify files.

Failing that delete the whole KSP folder. (Backup the savegames folder first if you care about your progress!)

There's no hidden files or settings outside the KSP folder, if dumping the entirety of it doesn't work, you've potentially got bigger problems like drivers or hardware, or you've set a Steam launcher option that the game doesn't support.
