MM patch for FuzzyResources/M700 without comms?

This is a long shot, but does anyone know how to modify the M700 scanner so that it does not require an uplink to KSC to do its thing?

TLDR I have a modded game where some things will NEVER be in range (or maybe they could be but the antennae arrays required are so enormous I haven't built them) that I would like to scan. Every other science thing I can manually bring back home via the miracle of kerbal pockets, but the resource scanner eludes me and prevents me completing some ScanSat contracts. I could edit the save file every time and turn off CommNet, but this will irk me considerably :(

Thanks in advance for any help :)

I think the comm connection requirement for the stock M700 scan is hard-coded, so there probably isn't much you can do about it. But if you are using SCANsat you can just turn off stock resource scanning (or just disable the Instant Scan function) and scan with the M700 the SCANsat way.

Did not know this! Is it in the configuration somewhere? :)

*edit* Read the ScanSat front page and found info there. Will sort that out tonight then, thanks @DMagic! Always appreciative of your work :)
