Aree Vanier
The Kerbal Space Program Profile Manager is a software utility to allow users to have multiple KSP profiles, with separate mods and saves. Features Unlimited (within reason) profiles, each profile has its own Mods Saves Ships CKAN data Have profiles across multiple KSP versions Lists mods and saves when you load a profile Also shows the game mode, amount of flights, science, funds, and reputation for each save (Where applicable) Moderately user-friendly UI Mod support The profile manager works will all mods that start at runtime. The profile manager works alongside CKAN without issue. Currently, there is only tested support for Windows, however linux testing is on the todo list. (I don't own a Mac, so it's currently out of the question) How it works The profile manager creates symbolic links to allow extremely fast "file transfer". More information can be found on the wiki Future Plans Add button to launch CKAN Overhaul UI (Current UI is ugly, but it works) Add button to add ksp version automatically Choose KSP version when initializing (Currently just says 1.4.1) Modpacks? IF I can figure it out, internal CKAN support Downloads [MOD - Download links removed - sumghai] Edited August 9, 2018 by sumghai Removed download link due to missing source code and license
Beetlecat
This looks encouraging! Having it work alongside CKAN installs is definitely a must (game data switcher managed this by migrating the CKAN directory, too). Toggling between installs with a tool like this, rather than having completely separate KSP environments is definitely a good thing.
sumghai
[MOD - Thread locked and download links removed, as the KSP Profile Manager application requires third-party source code not included in GitHub repo. We're sorry that we had to disallow posting it here, and did not arrive at this decision easily. Clearly you've put a lot of work into this to try to improve the lives of your fellow KSP players, and we absolutely want to encourage that sort of thing, in general. We really appreciate the contributions of public-spirited people like you. Unfortunately, the source code and licensing provisions require us to disallow it in this case-- regretfully. We hope this doesn't discourage you from further efforts. Thank you for your understanding, and our sincere apologies for the inconvenience. ]
