Tech to unlock autostrut? (yes advtweak is on)

Yes, advanced tweakables is enabled.

Playing in sandbox, autostrut appears normally when building something.

In my career mode, it doesn't show up and I'm pretty far into the tree. I use a custom tech tree, and have the regular struts unlocked, so this makes me think that you need a specific named tech unlocked to enable autostruts in the VAB/SPH but I can't find any reference to this anywhere.

Does anyone know?

My own, all the stock techs except for "start" are replaced.
I need to know which one to restore back in.

As far as i know Auto struts dont need a tech to be able

In stock I believe it unlocks with regular struts. Not sure if it's coded to do so of if there's something else in the tech tree that unlocks it.

In a stock game, the node which contains the regular struts is required to unlock autostruts as well and maybe that's actually the reason for them to not appear for you: Did you just edit the position of the nodes or did you also edit the parts within these nodes? Probably it is necessary to unlock the node which contains the regular struts in a stock game (general construction) and not just the struts itself.
