Multiple Gravity Assists/Delta V

How does one determine if planets are lined up for multiple gravitational assists? And on a related note, how do you determine how much delta V you gain from an assist?

This thread appeared very recently (even though it's about RSS, the answers apply to stock as well)

There are tools to calculate transfer windows for chosen gravity assists, as well as Delta-v for any potential burns etc.

And let me tell ya, it saves a lot of fuel, but of course cost more time. For my Cassini recreation (OPM Sarnus) my mission time increased by two years but I saved a lot of fuel thanks to Jool and Sarnus' moons assists.
