Did you Soyuz 11 :-(

Its a sad tragedy, but like any other spaceflight tragedy, it teaches us important lessons.

Soyuz 11 reminds us that you should always maximize the safety of a space mission. If you don't think the spacecraft will decompress, give the people inside pressure suits anyways, because you never know. The Challenger disaster also thought us this, be cautious of safety!

Even now we need to learn from our mistakes, The Soyuz MS10 failure and the crash of the CRS16 booster reminds us that even if it's extremely reliable it still has the chance of failure.

We have had a presence in space for 60 years now but we are still learning.

Tragic history, that was still a topic for us in the GDR even in the 80s. Especially since the cosmonauts could probably have easily covered the leak with a finger if they had discovered it.

It felt like "our" Apollo 1.

btw: "Salyut 7" is a russian film about the Soviet space program which shows a comparable near catastrophe, but which was successfully solved similar to Apollo 13.
For me even in comparison to the film with Tom Hanks the slightly better one. Several cool shots.
