Ok, this photo creeped me out.

http://imgur.com/a/5w04b your wish has been granted sir XD it's definitely a slow launch escape, only about 5 or so G's, so not capable of outrunning everything. I suppose I could just modify the thrust even more for those boosters, but it works, so, meh. It does have a lot of weight to pull though, so I suppose it isn't too bad lol.

Also on the topic of the thread, just imagine crashing your rockets in .17, with IVA view... Now that would be unsettling......

The amount of ingenuity I see on this forum on a daily basis always surprises me. Very, very cool. As far as IVA goes, it's never been a feature I really thought much about, but I'd have to agree that crashes in IVA might make people work a bit harder to keep their rockets safe.

However, Munwin Kerman was cursed. Every flight he was on failed, and I finally shot him into the sun.

after reading some serious stuff, this gave me a huge pick up xD but on topic, this is something we should all relate to, either if you were alive or not at challengers time. i was born beginning of '97, but i still find it hard to believe that something that bad happened to heroes who planed on conquering the stars. i, like so many others have forgotten how to relate from the game to the real world, as we tend to (or at least, for me, used to after .13, when I finally pined down rocket designs for first time orbits) blow up crews in heartbeat. testing to see if that one explosion was a fluke, and retry, to finalize the perfect, most efficient and over exaggerated rockets aver thought of. though a picture such as this would only bring back reality once in a blue moon, we must still charge on, into the depths of space, primarily for the bragging rights.

Watching C7's demonstration of IVA flight that Damion shared with us being as smooth as it was, I expect a number of times to get more than just a firm grip on my armrests when ballistic descent occurs.

I feel like a bit of a troll bringing this up, but to those who feel sobered seeing the OP's image: Imagine what it is going to be like when heat re-entry mechanics are introduced. Will give us opportunity to get a better view what it was like for Columbia's last re-entry. Squad wasn't kidding when they said they wanted to bring rocketry to a new level of experience.
