StarSpeaker Industries - Coming soon if it gets enough supportive posts

StarSpeaker Industries will be a ship and parts add-on for KSP, just to spice it up a little. Most of the StarSpeaker parts are modded stock parts, and some of the ships use other mods.

Here are my current additions:

1. Small hardpoint identical to the stock hardpoint, only non-crossfeed-capable, making it lighter and allowing permanent engines with separate fuel supplies.

2. Aerodynamic nosecone also identical to its stock counterpart, only it contains a small supply of fuel.

3. Crossfeed-capable and slightly heavier Mk2 cockpit.

If you guys think this project would be worthwhile, leave a supportive comment.

Don't let a lack of community input stop you! Nutt seems to always be there in new threads giving support, but you could post all day without much comment unless you're Dani-Sang or Nova. Don't let that stop you.

As far as modelling, you might want to take a look at Blender for meshes and Gimp or Photoshop for textures. Blender's Achilles heel is its lack of documentation, but googling usually reveals everything you need to know.

Check the forums for the thread on the basics of a ksp part -- there's a quick tutorial on how to make a simple model and collider node that explains the basics you need to get moving.

Just be sure not to post anything you didn't make or don't have permission to use :)

Good luck!

Thanks, fellas! I'll look into custom modeling.

For the fuel nosecone and crossfeed cockpit, should I just put small fuel symbols on them?

Those you can keep, as textures and models from most stock parts are inaccessible due to the new .mu format that supports bump maps and animation..

This thread is quite old. Please consider starting a new thread rather than reviving this one.
