Quick question about distinction between RCS and engines.

Recommended Posts

Do I get this right, I can't just turn one nozzle of an RCS block into an engine using config files because I'd have to add thrustTransform transform(or whatever, later named in thrustVectorTransformName) to the model in Unity?
I know I can bind throttle control to RCS in game, but that's all based on the ModuleRCSFXand doesn't actually give me an "engine" (ModuleEnginesFX).

Just tried this out - pasted the T-30 engine module section into the stock RCS and was able to launch by setting the ModuleEngine thrustTransforn to the RCS thrust transform name. I did notice the RCS seemed to be messed up as a roll maneuver triggered two(?) of the RCS to fire in a roll direction and the other two to fire incorrectly. I'm guessing the ModuleEngine picks the first transform of the given name.
