If you time warp yes. In the future though we will have up to 10x warp with physics so it wont drift apart. Maybe they can get even higher some day?

We will also get actual docking in an update in the near future (probably 0.18, but there's no way to be sure).

For docking i use damned robotic with the doors and for others parts i use mechanical mouse industrie and when you are docking don't use the warp because part are moved
