How to make Axis groups work??

I have wasted several hours trying to make a servo turn using action groups/axis groups. Could someone please explain simply how this is done as I am at my wit's end. Thanks!

Does the part rotate with the Part Action Window slider?

Can you explain which axis you are mapping to which field in the servo?

I was trying to use the custom groups, as far as I understand now I have to bind them to keys first. I used the forward backward translate instead. Overall I have found the axis group function to be other than intuitive.

The custom ones are unassigned, so yes you first have to assign them to something in the Input section of the main settings.

You said you used forward/backward, is that working for you now?
