Crashing a lot, but no log files

I'm running heavily-modded KSP 1.3.1 x64 on Windows 7 x64 via Steam.  Lately, I've noticed that often when trying to switch from a vessel to the tracking station, the space center, or even going from the tracking station to trying to "fly" a vessel, the game crashes.  More often than not, Steam also crashes.  Yet, I don't seem to be producing any log files, so I have no information about what caused the crash.  Does anybody know why this is?  I do have some old log files from game crashes, just not the recent ones.

Perhaps you may simply be running out of RAM. What's your memory situation?

The game will always produce log files as long as you don't specifically tell it not to by setting a specific launch option. The only thing it will not always do after every crash is to put copies of said log files in a timp stamped folder.for easy access. This thread is telling you where to find them:
