D-Day - June 6th, 1944

On June 6th, 1944, allied troops stormed the beaches of Normandy in the largest amphibious invasion in history. Over 10,000 casualties resulted from the attack and more than 4,000 men were confirmed dead. These brave men sacrificed everything for their countries. They will never be forgotten.

Today marks the 75th anniversary of the Normandy invasion, and the world pauses to remember the extraordinary sacrifice made by the men of the greatest generation. Let's all take a moment to remember those who gave so much for the cause of freedom on this day, 75 years ago. I pray that we will never lose the sense of patriotism and devotion to country that was the inspiration of this great generation. God bless America and all countries devoted to freedom around the world.
