Unidentified object - confirmation needed

I have stumbled upon an unidentified object showing on my landed pod's visor, it is 35.9km eastwards from 0° 8' 23" N 3° 25' 22" W.

I tried reaching it with a heavy duty spaceplane, but ran out of fuel halfway. Not wanting to sit in front of the game doing minor flight maneuvers for over half an hour, I turn to you, fellow forum members! I know some of you can easily land a rocket there with mechjeb, or some other clever way of reaching it, so I ask for confirmation on visual of this object, so my heart can rest (without worrying that my game is broken)

And no, I don't have any debris there.

Thanks!

I got to your location using a suborbital plane, but i just see ocean in the heading.. But judging from the image its just terrain generation..

What are your Graphics Detail settings btw?

Everything on max.

You could get a rocket into orbit and then deorbit near its coords..

Oh but I don't have such precision for landing in earth's atmosphere. At least not with my current craft, and I don't really want to build an SSTO craft yet.

Just build a basic glider on top of a launch vehicle. When you de-orbit overshoot the location slightly to account for atmospheric drag, then glide towards the location.

He's talking about the spacecraft debris 35.9km away from him. Landed debris don't show up on the orbital map.

While it seems reasonable, I cant but wonder why is my KSC riddled with debris on the map then?

Will do this, thanks

It looks like the reentry module from that Soyuz add-on. Have you ever used that add-on?

Nope. Also, how can it look like something if you didn't even see it? The only actually visible thing is my cockpit with a parachute

You will have to post your persistence file for others to find it.

I want to make sure it's not an easter egg, it doesn't matter if i post my persistence, since i'll know if it's my debris (thats not showing on the map) either way.

Also, what does it say when you mouse over the icon?

It's too far to show a name label, what you see is already with mouse rollover.

I did a flyby of the area and circled around but didn't see anything unusual. With a detection radius of at least 35km, it would've been hard to miss.
It's just a debris, probably a piece of rocket from an earlier flight.

Thanks, now all I need to figure out is why it doesn't show on my map..

-Icons don't show derby that in the atmosphere while your in orbit view..

-Other part explode when they contact ground.. all but the Structural Pylons for some reason they have their resistance set to 999..

So my guess is that that are leftover structural pylons that survived impact..

- Only thing i can think of ATM. Still need some testing..

- Hard to find things you dropped from orbit.. But i'll give it a try and see if i find something similar..

This is what is so cool about this game. I was sitting on the pad the other day getting ready to launch my 90th satellite into orbit (yes, I count them. I even do some basic debris avoidance calculations before liftoff because I have *so* many spent rocket stages in orbit from my early, ineffecient designs, my pre- debrisless designs)

As I'm getting ready to lift off, about 6 pieces of debris deorbited and went streaking about 19km over my head, heading east at ludicrous speed. It was so cool to see something de-orbit randomly, and really gave the feeling of a living breathing environment doing its thing around you. Cool stuff!

Well i have debris on a less-than-70km-periapsis orbit too, I hope I get a chance to see something like that soon, nice

Thanks. Also, why do you only post in Times New Roman?
