I cant fly planes but im on my way to KSC2

I feel like a russian experiment gone wrong trying to fly. so using several of Tosh's mods i am making a voyage ON LAND over to KSC2 im using the truck along with several mk. 1 jet fuel tanks and the .5m push prop from damned aerospace and some tail fins to create an amphibious vehicle to get there. about 2 hours real time and 1 hour so far waiting for sun to rise again. ill get pics up when i get them after i hit KSC2.

only part way across Africa (What i call the continent that KSC is on) just got over the mountain range just West of KSC Autosaving every once and a while. All so i dont have to fly a plane for 30 minutes.

To pass time im watching Lost on my second monitor. See ya soon.

There is indeed an ocean in between. I'm afraid OP's voyage will come to a bad end.

However, in 0.14.0/1 the old terrain system coexists with plugins, and a cart can safely cross via land bridge to Young Kolus.

you could go north across the north pole land bridge to KSC2, but that will more than triple the distance. Still nothing beats air travel.

the sea inbetween those two continents is not too wide. He might just make it with an amphibious vehicle.

The first time I tried to get there I simply did a sub orbital flight directly overhead with a vertically launched space plane, then retrograde burn as I approached, my aircraft could easily glide in to land as i can't fly that well it atmospheres either. I'm far better at rocketry.

I just parachuted in with an unmanned rover.

The mountains around it are difficult to get through and I lost a few rovers trying to drive over them, as I only had a vague idea of where the base was at first from satellite mapping.

The biggest issue I had was how steep the mountains were. Your vehicle will want to roll and if it stops upside down your trip is over or you will need to hit the reload button.

Note that the base itself was graphically buggy with the roads not attached to the ground.

This may have just been an issue with my copy though.
