ksp files not working

Recommended Posts

So, today  I was playing ksp as usual, but then I wanted to check something on my computer so i quit the application. When I came back, the game started loading and stopped at asset bundle definitions. I reinstalled the game which fixed the issue, but then when I tried to load one of my saves, the text flashed but nothing happened. Then i decided to check if the training and scenario levels worked but i found out that all of those were missing.

It's sort of getting ridiculous at this point, and I'm wondering if anyone knows how to fix the issue(s). I am playing on a windows 10. I have the making history and breaking ground expansions all loaded into the game. i have also already tried reinstalling steam to fix the problem, didn't seem to work.

Go to Steam Library, Right Click on Kerbal and see if you have Cloud Saving Enabled. This usually causes some problems. After Disabling it, right click on Kerbal and Verify Integrity of the files.

Have you made a manual backup of the saves folder?

I am not very familiar with how to verify the integrity of the files, but I think I was able to disable cloud saves which did not change anything in my game.

Hey, do you use a file sharing service, like dropbox, google drive, etc? If you put up your save files, someone might be able to have a look at what's going on with them.
They might be damaged beyond repair, but at least you will know for sure.  But who knows, there is a chance it's something else entirely, or there might be a trick or two that could get stuff working again.

Find where your KSP is installed, in there, there will be a folder named saves. TBH you might as well share the whole folder. Someone might be able to verify if they're working or not by putting them in their installation.
