I returned Jeb and Val from a mission, recovered the ship, but it still says they're assigned in the astronaut complex, how do I remove this problem?

Do you see anything in the Astronauts Tab at the Tracking Station?

I am curious in the Astronaut Complex what is the vessel it says they are assigned to?Is that vessel fully recovered?Maybe it broke in parts?

Go to your game main folder location->saves->Your Carreer Name->Saves->persistent.sfs

Make a backup first, copy it somewhere else.(Also the saves folder has all your carreer so you should always have this backuped)

Persistent.sfs it's a text file, so open it with your Notepad(or any text editor).

Control+F to do a search for ROSTER and then search for Jebediah Kerman and Valentina Kerman.(Dont Search their names first because they are all over the place).

All of your Kerbals are under ROSTER .

Change the state = Assigned to state = Available

I think it should fix it.Uhhh I hope it does, make a backup first :) .

If you have more energy after that you could also try Verifying Files if you are on Steam.(Library->Right Click Kerbal->Properties->Local Files)
