I can't find out how to bind numbers for actions in career mode.

Hello. I'm new to the forums but I've been playing KSP for about a year and a half, but for some reason, I can't bind numbers to actions in career mode. As far as I can remember, this has never happened before, so i'm completely in the dark. Please help. Thanks.

Welcome to the forum @APOPU.

The Space Plane Hanger or Vehicle Assembly Building must be upgraded to access action groups in career. There is a setting, "always allow action groups" that will give you action groups without upgrades but I think it needs to be enabled during career setup.

P.S. O.K. Maybe I can add, that if you right-click on the building you can see the current limits of the building and what they will be with the next upgrade.

Welcome to the forum!

To add to what others have said, normal career mode requires that the VAB and SPH be upgraded to level three before you have the numbered action groups; level two gives the basic ones (such as lights, gear, abort, and such) but not the numbered ones.

Also, the VAB and SPH track this separately, so having a level three VAB and a level one SPH, for example, will leave you with no action groups for your aeroplanes.

There is a trick to do so...
Finish your vessel in SPH and save it. Switch editor to VAB, assign groups. 

Switch editor again, save again, launch - actiongroups will be availiable now
