Ships disappearing

Recommended Posts

Howdy,

In sandbox, my manned ship was in a circular orbit at about 95,000m, I quick-saved then exited to the space center.

The ship disappeared from the tracking center, but I see green comnet lines where the ship should be. I can quickload back to when I had control of the ship, but other than that  it's gone.

My kerbals aren't listed as missing, but still assigned to the ship, and the save file indicates 1 ship in flight (this is the only ship I have launched in this save).

I quickloaded, crashed the ship, and launched another one. Same glitch happened.

Any idea how to stop this from happening?

Most likely what happened is that you turned off that "ship type" in the map view. There's that row of icons along the top-center of the screen in map view, showing all the available "types" (i.e. probe, base, station, airplane, ship, lander, etc.)  They show as white when enabled, black when disabled.  You can click to enable/disable.

In other words:  The ship is still there, it's just hidden in map view, use the ship-type thingy to turn display of it back on.
