fuel 'bug'

Hi guys!

I've been lurking around for a little while, and I keep hearing stuff about a 'fuel bug' that kicks in when you're at full thrust or something. What effect does this have, and how do you 'summon' it?

Tried searching, but there are a jillion threads that mention it, and was unable to find an answer-y one..

lol, you havent searched.. i found what it mean in seconds.. but:

at full throttle its normal, but when you are at 1/2 throttle, your fuel consumbtion is 1/4. When you are at 1/10, you are sucking 1/100 out of tanks.

Basically, it consumes your fuel at a heavily decreased rate when you're burning at low thrust, so you can get much further that way than what you could at full thrust.

This is the Fuel Consumption Bug thread that first raised the fuel bug issue. HarvesteR's response is on the very first page so you don't have to read very far.

This is the current player created fix that works very well. Hacky Fuel Consumption Fix
