Fuel flow

Hi! I just downloaded ksp and have a bit of a problem.

when I build a rocket and place an engine directly below the fuel tank, and then try to launch, the engine says there’s no fuel flow and the engine won’t fire. Now I know it’s not my problem because I have loaded the games ready rockets and the same problem exists with those rockets. I know it’s some kind of bug.

Did you download from Steam? On many occasions, steam downloads have one or two small errors that need to be fixed with a "file validation." Do you know how to do a file validation? That's exactly what your problem sounds like to me.
