Can't Use Map with OKTO

Has anyone had an issue not being able to bring up MAP VIEW when using the OKTO? I've never had trouble until today.

I don't think OKTO is to blame here, it's just a standard drone computer. Try a new sandbox game and see if you can replicate the error

Just checked with Okto and Okto2 - no problems (KSP 1.8.1.2694, 1.8.1 making history, 1.3.1 breaking ground)

Do you have some strange career-mode restriction?

To use KerbNet, you need a link back to KSC. Doesn't matter if the vehicle is also under crew control or not, the probe always needs the link for KerbNet to work.

sometimes when I "click"  on a node or other element with my mouse, the "M" button stops working until I click outside it again.

Seems to be correct that Okto isn't the case.

I can't hit M to access map, but when I mouse click the map button, it brings up the map, and when I go back to staging mode, everything on map mode disappears, and I can't get out of it.

 

Edit: Seems like everything is fine in a save file from a few days ago. 

EDIT EDIT: Now I can't hit space to stage anything.

I think I've seen this issue in a forum somewhere else, but I don't remembering it having a clear answer.

Staging can be locked and unlocked and, more recently, the staging stack can be hidden.  That aside, it sounds like you're having a whole lot of issues so good luck!

Assuming that you didn't hit a more serious bug, it could be that some spurious input locks were/are active. You can go to the cheat menu (<R-Shift> - <F12> on Linux, afaik <L-Alt> - <F12> on Windows) and got to "Console" -> "Input Locks" and click on "Clear Input Locks". That helps with many similar issues.
