Hey I'm trying to complete the contract "test RT-10 "hammer" booster at the launch site" and every time I press the test engine button the contract doesn't complete. 

Is this a bug or am I doing something wrong?

Hey @Sandy cheeks127, and welcome to the forums, it's always nice to see new players here  

As per your question: those engine testing contracts simply require that you perform the test by staging, i.e. pressing the space bar, that's all.

Its a bug. Most likely if you look at the contract whilst on the launch pad it won't have a tick next to have have rt 10 hammer attached. You will also get the same issue with the flea

Same for me, playing on PS4.  Test criteria are both checked green at the launch pad, as soon as you stage the booster (or click the test button) you lift off, the green check for the ‘launchpad’ goes away, test not completed.

Things I’ve tried with no success:

• Staging normally from launchpad
• Using test button from context menu
• Staging with full fuel tank and thrust limited to zero (to stay on the pad)
• Staging with full fuel tank and thrust limited to 5% (to stay on the pad, and ran it to empty/burnout)
• Staging with empty fuel tank and thrust set to 100%
• Staging with TT18A launch stability enhancer attached until burnout
• Staging with TT18A launch stability enhancer attached with no pod attached (engine only, and could not stage)

Couple of options to try:

• Have the 'Hammer' as a second stage. Then select 'Run Test' from the context menu.
• Launch from the Runway instead - it still counts as the launchpad - and see if that works.
