How do I delete craft files?

I downloaded some craft files and placed them into the VAB folder. Unfortunately I cant load the crafts because somehow there are parts missing. I then went on and deleted the craft files from the VAB folder so they don't pop up in the game anymore (I downloaded quite a few). However, when I restart the game the craft files somehow appear in the VAB folder again and pop up in the game.

I didn't find any other path where the files are located. What can I do for the craft files not to pop up? I will put a screenshot here.

Do you launch the game through steam? The steam cloud will backup you savegame and when you delete stuff from the savegame folder, it will restore them on the next launch. Try to delete the ships ingame (from the VAB or SPH loading dialog) and quit the game through the main menu (not alt + F4 or something like that), that should cause steam to update the cloud savegame properly.
