Rover Expedition : 

CHALLENGE: It might be a little poorly explained, ask me to explain if you need it.

Use a rover (criteria later) to get from the starting point to the end point (also later) as fast as possible. The winner is determined by these things:

 

-top speed (higher speed = higher score)

-vehicle mass{ in tons} ( less weight = higher score)

-part count (less parts = higher score)

 

TOP SPEED X 2 is your speed score. (ex. 100 m/s = 200 score)

Part count - speed score = part score (ex. 200 speed score - 45 parts = 155 subtotal score)

Mass score = vehicle weight in tons (or % of tons) 1 ton = -10 score (ex. 155 subtotal - 2 tons weight = 135 FINAL SCORE)

 

AGAIN:

SPEED x 2

PART - SPEED = SUBTOTAL

MASS - SUBTOTAL

 

Rover criteria:

 

-all propulsion must come from STOCK wheel power ( No engines, mods, etc.)

-rover must have room for 2 kerbals

 

STARTING POINT - 

the Squad Monolith near KSC

END POINT - 

The OLD KSC in the mointains.

 

You can take any route, meaning that getting speed from hills is okay, and gliding is okay. 

SPEED IS KEY!!!

Question-could someone post a picture of where the other ksc is located? Like on a map view? And are we allowed to add rocket engines to our rovers?

By old KSC do you mean KSC2? That is quite far away for a rover. Especially one driven by wheel power that's gonna be necessarilly slow or immobile in water.
