Hello,

I would want to know what compatibility I have to download for my KSP v.1.7 for Mac.

For example, I Have found for SCATTERER or Kerbal Engineer the latest version (1.9.1 for Scatterer) and others as 1.8.0 or 1.6.1,...

What version I have to download ?
Thank you for your help.

Hi! May I please know what other mods you are talking about? If they are part mod, they may work with KSP 1.7

May I please ask why are you using KSP 1.7? As there is a new version (KSP 1.9.1) available and say for example you are using 1.7.x you cannot use a mod i.e. scatterer or Kerbal Engineer that was made for KSP 1.9.1. It won't work

Hello,

This is my company's computer. I've installed KSP weeks ago but now it is impossible to install or upgrade nothing without asking to informatic service.
I think I will install it in my personal iMac buying a new licence.
If I have 1.7 I can only use 1.7 mods that's it ?

It can be a little confusing to figure out what mods work with old version of KSP.

In general, you will want to go to http://spacedock.info and press the "changelog" button on a mod's page, and look back to find old versions that match whatever KSP you are running.

If you can install mods, you should be able to update the base game.  KSP doesn't install anything into the registry that requires admin privileges and depending on where the directory is located any privileges to add updates would allow you to update the game..  If you bought the game from the KSP webstore you can download zip files to update the game instead using an installer that would need admin privileges. The entire installation is in a Kerbal Space Program directory tree and can be moved or copied to any location on your hard drive.

OK I discover KSP on this computer when I arrive in this company.

I think I'm gonna install it in my home on my own Mac it is better.

Better direct version or Steam to buy it ?

Is there a problem with Mac version or it is the same as PC ?

I'm currently running KSP 1.7.0 on my mac, and it works fine with most new mods. Generally, versions that are compatible with 1.6.1 and up should be fine, but if they contain fancy things such as depth masks (added in 1.8), you'll have to delete them. But overall, most mods should work fine with 1.7. A word of warning though: never use a newer version of scatterer for an older version of KSP. Bad things will happen.

I'd buy it direct from Squad. Steam users seem to complain a lot about Steam autoupdating their game whenever KSP updates and breaking their installed mods
