How can I remove ships from a saved game

Recommended Posts

Are the ships in orbit, and contain nothing of value?

If so, go to the space center’s tracking station (you can also open it in the pause menu using a button of similar name), select the object/s and click the red “terminate” button on them, one at a time.

They're mostly not in orbit (previous attempts to get into orbit!). So I don't need them. Or maybe I should just be creating a new game each time (then there would be no space junk)? dunno

No, just terminate them on the ground too, it works that way, I forgot how KSP works today. I hate having bad computer storage management.

well..if the ships are not in orbit they are in crashing trajectory, just warp time ahead to speed up this. Then launch the new rocket. Now when you fail an attempt, instead of leaving to KSCrevert flight to launchpad or VAB to try again so  you roll back to where there is no ships floating around (mind you they are really crashing, just taking a lot of time to do so).

Mind you, colliding with your previously launched crafts is less a risk than a challenge.
