Kerbal Hypersonic Missile Program

I mean not many people are interested in hypersonics when it comes to KSP. So I have decided to make a competition about Hypersonic Missiles

Rules are

1-It shouldnt be a classic Ballistic Missile but rocket boosted hypersonic gliders are still allowed

2-No edited parts

3-No mods other than BDArmory, OPT and Tweakscale

4-No limit on launch platform type, you can make them surface or air launched, perhaps even submarine launched

5-BDA Guidance Kits are not compulsory

6-You are free to pick the guidance type in case you use a guidance kit from BDA

7-Range should be at least 300km

8-You are free to turn on "Ignore Max Temp"

I might try one but in RSS (with stock parts) where true hypersonic velocities are possible in the atmosphere.

YAY! You can really go nuts with no max temp and TweakScale. I've done stuff like this before, but the challenge is always restricted in some way.

Do you have to use BDArmory? Can we just build a hypersonic missile using stock parts?

Also, there are a bunch of hypersonic parts in OPT - it would cool to include those. But it's cool if not.

Not happening, sorry.

I rather enjoy hypersonics, but also 2.7x scale since stock scale is really cramped with regard to speed. (Mach 5 is where hypersonic territory begins.) You might as well have anything mach 5 do double service as an SSTO or a TSTO's lower stage.

I've tried with a rapier, but that one blew up before reaching the target.

yeah, also i agree that rapiers can get troubling as they are the one of the heaviest engines for mk1. Turboramjet is the optimal thing as you can put sideway boosters anyway

Well, i meant that you can use BDA stuff for you know, missile kit or warheads(In case you dont have procedural missile parts). I totally forgot about OPT, thanks
