OPT Spaceplane Parts and Kopernicus compatibility issue?

Recommended Posts

When I start the game, everything looks fine until I get to the start menu. In the very first screen none of the buttons work: Start game, settings, quit etc. I spent all day trying to figure it out, and have narrowed it down to the two mods in the title. OPT mod is older, but works fine without Kopernicus. Kopernicus is also outdated but I found a recompiled version someone posted that works when not paired with opt. I am currently using Ksp 1.9.1 I tried reverting to 1.8.1 to fix it but I had the exact same issue even with the most up to date official version of Kopernicus. Thank you for any help!

Official Kopernicus release/build only supports KSP 1.8.1.
If you are using an unofficial build of Kopernicus you found somewhere... I think you are on your own.

About the only thing you can do, is revert your game to 1.8.1 (using the *official* build of Kopernicus), or remove either Kopernicus and use OPT in 1.9.1, or remove OPT and continue to use your unofficial build of Kopernicus in 1.9.1

OR, better yet, go contact the person who supplied the unnofficial recompile of Kop for 1.9.1, and hit *them* up for fixes and support. ;)

I would suggest NOT posting about this on either the OPT, OR the Kopernicus thread, as you will be told exactly the same thing, and may even get some hostility and drama thrown your way. NOT your fault, but this is why *unofficial* builds of Kopernicus thrown around publicly are so frowned upon.
This is one reason why official Kopernicus is KSP version locked.

IF, after reverting to 1.8.1, removing all traces of your unnoficial copy of Kopernicus, and re-installing a fresh copy of the official Kop for 1.8.1, you *still* have issues with OPT, it would be best to post on the OPT Legacy/Reconfig thread for support.
However, I'm pretty sure all of OPT works with no issues with official Kopernicus release in 1.8.1, and it is probably an issue specific to your install.
Prior to posting on the OPT thread, if you do this, tho, I highly suggest reading THIS thread, to learn how to supply your KSP logs in your post.
