Ground station configurability

I really like building large communication networks but with the range of the tracking station com net and now the additional launch sites you almost dont need a com network anymore. Sure there are still a lot of sutuations where you will loose signal if you dont have relays but it still takes a lot of the fun out of building a large com network.

Obviously you can disable the extra launch sites but i would still like to use them as launch sites. I think a better solution would be an option to severely limit the range of all ground stations so that you have no choice but to build a com network in order to go beyond kerbin's soi.

Already in the game - under advanced options.  You can scale the strength of the DSN (or disable them entirely)

Is this supposed to apply to the KSC as well or just the additional sites? Because i see the DSN power on the tracking station gets updated however this does not seem to apply to the tracking station itself. I dont mind if this is intended it would just be kinda nice if this applied to the tracking station as well.

Well, I expect that the "DSN Modifier" slider affects all DSN sites, i.e. including the KSC. The "Enable Extra Groundstations" option on the other hand leaves you with only the KSC as a DSN site if you deactivate it.
