Survive a high speed drop

Simply put, choose one of the methods listed below and record the speed at time of impact, height of drop and condition after the impact either by screenshot or video. Separate propulsion can be used to take craft into the desired height and then decoupled from it.

A: Survive a drop with a live kerbal only. Hint: hitting a steep hill may help.

1.

B: Save rover only. Mods are allowed

2.UBERDOMINATOR 122m/s

C: Save a command module with a live kerbal in it. Mods are allowed

1. Lucidlemon 70m/s

2. Kmschr 40m/s - http://youtu.be/JdUiXS8O-fo

D: Save a craft made with stock parts. Keep the whole craft in one piece that you intend to land with.

E: Save your main craft with any kind of impact shield being used. Be sure to specify the shield and craft apart. Mods are allowed

Experimentation so far has yielded me a little over 70 m/s with vanilla (probably even higher)

Unfortunately, I couldn't capture just before impact due to lag (I have too much debris around KSC)

Does being able to roll around Katamari Damacy style qualify the command pod as "more than dead weight"?

45 Meters Per Second (About, may have been 44). Just wanted to bump it up a little ;)

I am just wondering, with your shield rules now in place, would the guy who made the vanilla lander that fell apart now be considered as a shield?

I am having a lot of fun with this challenge! Thanks!

I finished a lander for this, which I named, creatively enough, Hard Lander. With stock parts it was able to survive a 499m fall and a 78.5 m/s impact fully intact and ready to launch.

Here is a video I made of the fall. Does anyone have a suggestion for a decent, free video recorder for PC that will record DirectX and OpenGL games? FRAPS works well but the 30s limit (or the $37 price tag) is no good.
