Phantom rotational forces

I have a frequently reoccurring problem where when I switch to a craft, usually in Kerbol orbit en route to somewhere, it will start spinning wildly. Sometimes SAS can compensate, but usually it can't. Using the trick of switching to 5x time and then back to 1x doesn't help; it just starts spinning agian.

I get that this is an issue with KSP thinking that the craft is having a force applied to it whose vector is not in line with the CoM. But the question is: Is there anything I can do about it? It usually is fixed by switching to another craft that isn't in physics range, but doing that over and over again becomes a huge pain. So it's not game-breaking, but it is a pain in the neck.

Had that once too, couldn't figure the reason, almost pulling out my hairs. Then I remembered the there are trim settings for planes, and used ALT X to reset. And it worked, looks like I accidentally somehow did set a trim earlier.

I'm actually not even familiar with that game mechanic. I'll try that though. Thanks.
